Q: When are we going to see Joey Caruso’s story on the shelves (third sister from the books AN OFFER HE CAN’T REFUSE and THE CARE
AND FEEDING OF UNMARRIED MEN)?
A: I don’t have a date at this time, though Joey is in my head clamoring for her own book! Somehow, some way, we’ll hear more from Joey in the future.
Q: What about Carlo Milano, the heroine’s brother from THE BRIDESMAID’S BET?
A: He gets his own story in April 2008! It’s
coming from Silhouette Special Edition and is titled BACHELOR BOSS.
Q: What are you working on now?
A: A third book set in Malibu and centered at the little yarn shop, Malibu & Ewe. The second in the trilogy is already finished and tentatively titled UNRAVEL
ME.
Q: Do your books need to be read in a special order?
A: There’s no special order and all can be enjoyed standalone. That said, some are linked.
Q: Which of your books are connected?
A: FIRST COMES LOVE is followed by THEN COMES MARRIAGE, THE THRILL OF IT ALL is a very loose prequel to AN OFFER HE CAN’T REFUSE followed by THE CARE & FEEDING
OF UNMARRIED MEN.
Some of my titles from Silhouette Books are part of larger continuity series written by many authors. My own FROM THIS DAY FORWARD and MAD ENOUGH TO MARRY from Silhouette Special Edition are linked stories.
Q: How can I get started writing romance?
A: You’ve already started if you’re reading romance. Keep it up! Also join Romance Writers of America (visit www.rwanational.org) which is a national organization that also has local and online chapters.
Q: What is your favorite book that you’ve written?
A: The one I plan on writing next! It’s always easier to think grand thoughts about what I will do than look back at what I have done. But that said, I always have a tender spot for my two “firsts:” THE WEDDING DATE, my very first published romance for Silhouette Yours Truly (line now folded) and WISH YOU WERE HERE, my first single title romance.
Q: What do you like to do more than write?
A: According to my family, not much. But I actually enjoy hanging with my sons and husband (we have the Wii game system and who knew I was so good at virtual bowling!), going to gym where I spend time working out while talking to my sweat buddies, and, okay, no surprise, I really, really, really love to read. I always have.
